M.A. Devi DAV Public School is located at Silli, 65Km. away from Ranchi is another link in the chain of more than 750 DAV Public schools all over the country, managed by DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi. The school got inaugurated on 25th November 2012 by the then Hon’ble Dy. Chief Minister Govt. of Jharkhand Sh. Sudesh Kumar Mahato. It made a very humble beginning with 62 students of LKG & UKG on 16.01.2013.
The school, at present, has strength of more than 500 students up to Std. VIII and is affiliated to DAV CMC, New Delhi, with all academic facilities, modern technologies, and educational aids, competent and dedicated teachers. The school provides a very congenial environment for all round personality development of a child and prepares them with the knowledge of our rich vedic value as well as tenets of modern competitive world of internet and e-mail so that they come out with flying colours wherever they go and whatever they want. Individual attention is our priority and everything possible is done to crack every hard nut that comes on our way. We ignite the mind and enrich the interstate of mind to inculcate the human behavior as to reach the goal of producing every one as a good human being and nation builder of the society.
Our approach and continuous efforts have so far yielded positive result in both sections curricular and extra co-curricular activities.
The most glorious moments for the school came last year when Master Varun of Std. VII and Miss Sulekha Std. VII earned laurel to the school in Shot-put, Javelin on cluster level whereas school cracked runner-up position in Archery at Zonal level. Miss. Pratibha of Std. VII was adjudged as good learner of Archery and Master Subhashis of Std. III was ranked as Junior Milkha Singh. The winners were awarded with Gold Medals and Silver Medals along with cash prizes of Rs. 3000/- for Gold Rs. 2000/- for Silver and Rs. 1000/- for consolation.
Though the school is very new, many more things are required to enhance its total development but the school has setup its name in the place of quality education.
